Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant

Commercial / Industrial  RO (Reverse Osmosis) Plant is a water purification technology that uses a semipermeable membrane to remove ions, molecules, and larger particles from water. In commercial settings, RO systems are scaled-up versions of residential units, designed to handle larger volumes of water and cater to the needs of businesses, institutions, and industries.

Commercial / Industrial RO Plant - Its usages

Commercial RO (Reverse Osmosis) systems are widely used across various industries and applications due to their ability to provide high-quality purified water. Companies from different sectors like : Factories, Industries, Drinking, Water supplier, Ice Makers, Food Industry, Textile, Pharmaceuticals, Farm Houses, Poultry farms, and so one.  These industries need pure water for their products. RO plants removes excess chemicals which can harm human as well as machines. It ranges from 50 LPH to 50000 LPH.

Neel Guard Aqua System is Delhi-based leading water & wastewater treatment plant manufacturer. We are industry's most demanding company based on client review and work quality. We are manufacturers of Water and Wastewater treatment company, Apart from this 24x7 customer support is our first pirorioty.

Commercial / Industrial RO Plant - Process

1. Pre-Treatment : The incoming feed water undergoes pre-treatment to remove suspended solids, particulates, chlorine, and other contaminants that could damage the RO membranes. Pre-treatment typically involves processes such as sediment filtration, activated carbon filtration, and chemical dosing for disinfection and scale inhibition.

2. Pressurization : The pre-treated water is pressurized using high-pressure pumps to overcome the osmotic pressure and force it through the RO membranes. Pressure is applied to the feedwater stream to push it against the semi-permeable membranes, allowing water molecules to pass through while rejecting dissolved solids and contaminants.

3. Reverse Osmosis : The pressurized feedwater is directed into the RO membrane modules, which consist of thin-film composite (TFC) or cellulose acetate membranes. These membranes have microscopic pores that allow water molecules to pass through while blocking the passage of dissolved salts, minerals, bacteria, and other contaminants. As a result, purified water, known as permeate or product water, flows through the membranes, while concentrated brine or reject water containing rejected contaminants is discharged as waste.

4. Permeate Collection : The purified permeate water passes through the RO membranes and is collected for further treatment or distribution. It typically undergoes post-treatment processes such as pH adjustment, remineralization, and disinfection to ensure water quality meets desired standards.

5. Brine Disposal : The concentrated brine or reject water containing rejected contaminants is discharged from the RO system and may be treated or disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. Depending on local regulations and site-specific conditions, brine disposal options may include dilution, evaporation ponds, or treatment and reuse.

6. Monitoring and Control : Throughout the RO process, various parameters such as pressure, flow rate, conductivity, and quality are monitored to ensure optimal system performance and water quality. Automated control systems adjust operating parameters based on real-time data to optimize efficiency and maintain desired water quality standards.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance : Periodic cleaning and maintenance of the RO membranes and system components are essential to prevent fouling, scaling, and biological growth, which can impair performance and reduce efficiency. Cleaning procedures may involve chemical cleaning, mechanical scrubbing, and membrane integrity testing to prolong membrane life and maintain system performance.

By following these steps, a reverse osmosis plant can produce high-quality purified water suitable for various applications, including drinking water treatment, industrial processes, wastewater reclamation, and desalination.
